Benefits Package
MEDICAL/DENTAL/VISION/LIFE INSURANCE
Medical, dental, vision care, and life insurance coverage is available for employees and their dependents. Employees qualify for insurance benefits once they have completed their introductory trial service period and are wroking a regular shift of at least 32 hours per week. Coverage becomes effective the first day of the month following eligibility.
Personal Accident, Personal Sickness, and Personal Short-Term Disability plans are also available through payroll deduction.
THE PERSONAL CHOICE ACCOUNT
A flexible spending a spending account program that allows employees to divert money on a pretax basis into an account to help pay for medical and dental expenses, dependent care expenses, and employee insurance premiums you would normally have to buy with after tax dollars.
EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Employees may seek limited counseling free of charge for personal problems both work and non-work related by contacting the Providence Employee Assistance Program.
SUPPLEMENTAL LIFE INSURANCE
All employees may elect to have an additonal life insurance coverage through a supplemental life insurance plan.
RETIREMENT PLANS
The Plaza offers two types of retirement plans: A Pension Plan and a 403(b) non-matching plan.
PAID VACATION AND HOLIDAYS
Employees who are full-time or part-time and have completed 12 months of continuous active employment will be eligible for annual vacation benefits with pay on the anniversary date of their latest date of hire at the following rates. Vacation pay is calculated and accrued according to the employee's total paid hours in the preceding year.
Employees reaching their first anniversary date of continuous active service will be entitled up to one week (5 working days) of vacation with pay.
Employees reaching their second through seventh anniversary dates of continuous active service will be entitled up to two weeks (10 working days) of vacation with pay.
Employees reaching their eighth or greater anniversary dates of continuous active service will be entitled up to three weeks (15 working days) of vacation with pay.
FLOATING HOLIDAYS
Two additional holidays, the employee’s birthday and a floating holiday, are provided to full-time employees who have completed one year of continuous active service.
CREDIT UNION
All employees are eligible to join the OnPointe Credit Union or the Point West Credit Union and have deposits deducted from their paychecks.
TRI-MET SUBSIDY
All employees who use Tri-Met as their primary method of transportation to and from work are eligible to receive this subsidy. This subsidy was initiated as part of Holladay Park Plaza’s efforts to meet the requirements of the Department of Environmental Quality – Employee Commute Program. Using Tri-Met helps reduce the number of single auto use trips to and from work thus improving the air quality around the Portland area by having fewer automobiles on the road during rush hour time.
WELLNESS PROGRAM
An excellent benefit for employees is the ability to use the fitness facilities and participate in employee fitness classes. Employees are also able to use the pool, sauna and spa.
