Cascade Manor in Eugene Appoints New Executive Administrator
(Medford, OR/Eugene, OR) – June 25, 2008 – Cascade Manor—the first and only Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Eugene, Oregon, and an affiliate of Pacific Retirement Services, Inc., a national not-for-profit leader in the Senior Living industry—announced today that Brian T. Young has been named its new Executive Administrator, effective mid-June 2008.
A graduate of the University of Oregon (UO), Mr. Young is returning to Eugene after serving four years as Executive Administrator of Trinity Terrace, an accredited Continuing Care Retirement Community and PRS affiliate located in Fort Worth, Texas. Previously, he graduated from PRS’s Administrator-in-Training program, where he served as Management Analyst at PRS’s Medford, Oregon, headquarters and earned his Nursing Home Administrator license.
“My wife and I were excited to come back to Eugene,” says Mr. Young. “Oregon has always been home to us and we have fond memories of Eugene. We met at UO, and we’d like to raise our five children here. As always, I feel privileged to be given this opportunity by PRS, and I look forward to serving residents of Cascade Manor.”
Mr. Young received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Marketing from UO, and served in the United States Army as Chief Warrant Officer, Battalion Budget Officer, and Rotary Wing Aviator, where he managed the Battalion’s multimillion-dollar Operating Budget, maintained proficiency as a combat helicopter pilot, and earned an Army Commendation Medal for Superior Service.
“Under Mr. Young’s management, Trinity Terrace has been undergoing a successful expansion,” says Jill Collins, Executive Vice President of Operations for PRS, “first with the building of the new City Tower, which is under construction now and already sold out, and now with plans to build a third tower, the new River Tower. We are very happy that Brian accepted the offer to move. It is a win/win situation for us all.”
Mr. Young is replacing James Munn, who is moving to Seattle to be the Executive Administrator of Mirabella, PRS’s new Continuing Care Retirement Community in the South Lake Union area of Seattle. Mirabella Seattle is expected to open in late 2008.
