Mirabella Portland Grand Opening
Draws Nearly 300 Attendees
The official Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting for this new Senior Living community in Portland, Oregon, was held on Monday, November 8, 2010.t.
(Portland, Oregon) November 16, 2010 – Mirabella Portland, a 30-story Senior Living community in the South Waterfront area of Portland, Oregon (www.MirabellaRetirement.org), celebrated its grand opening with an invitation-only ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony on Monday, November 8, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. Residents began moving into Mirabella in September 2010.
Along with tours of its award-winning design, Mirabella unveiled its new Model Homes and the 24th-floor Aria Penthouse Restaurants providing floor-to-ceiling views of the city and mountains. Guests enjoyed a full program of speakers, live music, and delicious hors d’oeuvres, and Mirabella received a plaque for its Platinum LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rating—the highest rating possible from the U.S. Green Building Council.

ABOUT THE EVENT
It was raining when guests arrived, so the management staff of Mirabella and PRS greeted them at their cars and escorted them under umbrellas to Mirabella’s door. By the time the festivities began, the views from the 24th-floor were spectacular, with the sun gleaming off the Willamette River, the Portland skyline, and the Cascades.
The ceremony occurred in Willamette Hall, Mirabella’s auditorium. From there, guests explored the community, sampling an exceptional selection of international cuisine and refreshments throughout. The impressive culinary presentation featured a large rose-lined ice sculpture depicting Mirabella, Mount Hood, and the Cascades. The Portland State University Jazz Department performed live jazz in the 1st- and 24th-floor lobbies. Model Homes, Apartment Homes, and Private Healthcare Suites were also available for viewing.

Mirabella’s impressive, 507,300-square-foot design received the top Design for Aging Review award from the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
