Pacific Retirement Services Ranks No. 12 in U.S.
PRS is 12th largest not-for-profit, multi-site Senior Living organization in soon-to-be-released 2011 LeadingAge-Ziegler 100.
(Medford, Oregon) June 28, 2011 - Pacific Retirement Services, Inc. (www.pacificretirement.com), moved up from No. 17 last year to No. 12 in the 2011 LeadingAge-Ziegler 100 (LZ 100),an annual listing of and related research on the largest not-for-profit, multi-site senior living organizations. PRS was No. 28 in 2007 and has been moving up the ranks at a fast clip since then. It earned the 12th slot this year with 2,878 total units, a growth of 281 units from last year. This was due in large part to the new Mirabella Portland, a 30-story retirement community that PRS developed and opened in September 2010 in the South Waterfront District of Portland, Oregon.
“Though 2010 was a year of adjustment for the industry, we are pleased with our growth,” says Brian McLemore, President and CEO of Pacific Retirement Services. “New development is on hold until the economy improves; however, we continue to expand communities in the PRS family thanks to a history of high occupancy and strong financial performance.”
The LZ 100 ranks the largest providers by the total number of units as of December 31, 2010. It also ranks affordable senior housing providers, of which PRS is one, and single-campus senior living providers.
This is the 8th annual LZ 100 publication fromLeadingAge,the national association for housing and services for the aging (previously AAHSA), and B.C.
